Managing Login Methods
You can sign in to Fundsorter with either Google or an Email & Password. This guide explains how to view your current login method, add a second one so you can sign in either way, or remove a method you no longer need.
Login methods are managed per user, not per organisation. Adding a second method keeps you in the same account — your data, organisations, and permissions stay exactly as they are.
Where to Find Your Login Settings
- Click the Manage Organisation link in the main navigation.
- Select the Login & Security tab.
From here you will see the Manage my Login Methods button. If you signed up with an email and password, you will also see a Reset my password button.

How to Add a Second Login Method
Adding a second login method lets you sign in using a different provider while keeping everything in a single account. This is useful if, for example, you'd like to use Google sign-in day to day but keep the option of signing in with a password.
- On the Login & Security tab, click Manage my Login Methods.
- The dialog shows the method you are currently signed in with and offers to add the other one. For example, if you are signed in with Google, it will offer to add Email & Password.
- Click Add Method Login to begin.

Important: the email address on the second method must match the email you use today. Accounts can only be linked when both methods use the same email address.
Adding Email & Password as a second method
If you are adding Email & Password, Fundsorter first asks whether you have already tried to sign in with that email. Your answer determines whether you're sent to the login screen (to enter your existing password) or the sign-up screen (to create one).
- Choose Yes – I've tried to login if you have previously attempted to sign in with this email and password.
- Choose No – Create new account if you have never used a password with this email before.

Adding Google as a second method
If you are adding Google, a Google sign-in popup will open. Choose the Google account that matches the email on your Fundsorter account. If the email doesn't match, the link will be rejected and no change is made.
After adding a method
Once the link succeeds, Fundsorter signs you out so you can sign back in and confirm the new method works. You'll only need to do this once — after that, either method will sign you in to the same account.
How to Remove a Login Method
If you have already linked both methods, the dialog instead shows a Remove Method Login button for the secondary method.
- Click Manage my Login Methods.
- Click Remove Method Login.
- Read the warning — once removed, you will only be able to sign in with the remaining method.
You cannot remove the method you are currently signed in with. If you want to remove your current method, sign out first, sign back in using the other method, and then remove the one you no longer want.

How to Reset Your Password
If you sign in using an email and password, you can change your password at any time.
To change your password from inside the account:
- On the Login & Security tab, click Reset my password
- Follow the prompts to set a new password.
The Reset my password button is only shown to users who have an email & password login. If you sign in with Google only, there is no password to reset — the password for your Google account is managed by Google.

To change your password from outside the app, choose reset password on the log in form.
